Our group focuses on the synthesis, characterization and assembly
of functional inorganic nanostructures for a
variety of applications. We are
primarily interested in understanding the mechanisms of
nucleation and growth as a basis for synthesizing nanostructures and hybrids
with enhanced properties. Our primary tool is electron
microscopy that we use extensively to interrogate structure, microstructure
and chemistry at various length
scales.
