Low thermal Expansion ceramic of NZP family: The main area of interest is the study of low thermal expansion ceramic of NZP family and their application as matrix material for low density, low thermal conductivity silica fiber composites.

Thermal Protection systems for re-entry space vehicles encompassing ceramic matrix composites like Silica – Silica Tiles, Calcium Strontium Zirconium Phosphates, Molybdenum Disilicides and Zirconium Diborides are under investigation.
