Ferroelectric Perovskite Superlattices By Pulsed Laser Ablation

Ashis is currently a post-doc at the University of Birmingham working on

  • Finding the best materials suitable for 3D growth and controlling nano-dots architecture.
  • Growth of YBCO thin films and Y-CC on substrates with and without nano-dots.
  • Structural characterisation of nano-dots induced pinning centres, of YBCO thin films, and Y-CC.
  • Studies of superconducting properties of YBCO thin films and Y-CC with various nano-dots architecture in comparison with those of control samples.
  • Optimisation of critical current density and other properties of YBCO thin films and Y-CC.
  • Applying the technology to marketable devices
